“Cars are made in our own image, with a face and a backside. They manifest all that is of the human mind not just the stupidity, banality and violence.

We are bombarded by exciting images of cars. Then of course, cars appear in our dreams. The twenty drawings with collage and the murals in this exhibition are a visual dialogue about the nature of cars.

I have drawn in ink and wax over the collaged material as an intervention to highlight the comic and the personal. The machine made prints that the photocopier produces are intended as an antidote to the gloss and suggestiveness of the advertised car image. The black and white intensity of the prints highlight the superimposed ink drawings.”
